If there’s one thing I think we can all agree on, it’s that white is not the only option for a wedding, especially when you’re a rock n’ roll bride/groom/broom/non-binary baddie (delete as appropriate!)
An issue dedicated to colour was well overdue, so when we were invited to Las Vegas by P3 Events to shoot the editorial for this edition to celebrate the opening of their new downtown wedding chapel, we knew we needed to go neon. Hot, sexy pink and eye-gauging green are such an unusual combination for a wedding but I think you’ll agree it definitely works!
We even shot a behind the scenes look at what we got up to with Tree of Life Photos & Films too. It was SUCH a dream come true of a project and day, check it out below (FYI our second model's shoot will be in the September issue).
Our model, Brasia, looked like an absolute goddess in the custom pieces which were made for her for this shoot. We worked with some truly incredible independent bridal brands and we're so excited to showcase their creativity in this issue!
The idea that your only choices are white, ivory or champagne for your wedding day outfit is also so outdated and elsewhere in this edition we are certainly celebrating this! Our Look Book feature focuses on colour blocking, our resident fashion stylist, Alex, is talking all about how to make a colour splash with your attire, and there’s an article dedicated to using colour theory when setting your theme.
Getting married when you're older than 30, or for the second time, can still be seen as taboo and is often ignored as a option by the wedding industry at large. Heaven forbid their 'happiest day of your life' and 'you only get to do this once' message be incorrect! Writer and speaker Gala Darling just got engaged at aged 40 and we are so thrilled to be publishing her very own Carrie Bradshaw Vogue moment. She's also sharing her inspiring story with us - it's one not to be missed!
